Thank You Word Nerds Unite for the Blogger Recognition Award!

Thank you so much for nominating me for this wonderful award, Word Nerds Unite! I’m so happy and honored because there are so many amazing bloggers out there on WordPress who deserve this award more! By now, you’d think that I wouldn’t be feeling this nervous since I have had plenty of time to rehearse my acceptance speech, but did you not see my trophy shaking with excitement? 🙂
So let’s get right into the rules:

  1. Select fifteen other blogs you want to give the award to
  2. You cannot nominate yourself or the person who has nominated you
  3. Write a post to show your award
  4. Give a brief story of how your blog started
  5. Give a piece of advice or two to new bloggers
  6. Thank whoever nominated you and provide a link to their blog
  7. Attach the award to the post (right-click and save, then upload)
  8. Comment on each blog and let them know you have nominated them
  9. Provide a link to the award post you created
1) My nominations go to… *Drums Roll*
Thank you, Word Nerds Unite, for the beautifully-written introductory paragraphs. I have decided to nominate more than 15 of my amazing followers this time, because these folks are simply amazing and I don’t know who will be accepting this award. 🙂
So the winners go to (drums roll): the next set of my amazing followers and likers on the dashboard, continuing from the previous awards. 🙂 Congratulations! You amazing folks truly deserve this award!!
2) How This Blog Came To Be
Teacup Talk was my first blog when I started blogging. I won’t get into too much detail because I’ve already discussed much of them here. 🙂 Basically, I wanted a platform to share my stories and hope that people will enjoy them as much as I do.
Post a Book, on the other hand, was created for another reason. It focuses more on creativity, in terms of writing styles and story illustrations. 😉 As of today, I’m still very excited about both blogs because they are so different from each other. Thank you so much all you amazing folks for checking out both of my blogs. I wouldn’t be here today without you! 🙂
3) My Advice to New Bloggers
My advice for new bloggers is very simple: have fun! 🙂 Like what Word Nerds Unite said, no matter what you write about, there are so many like-minded people who will share the love and passion of stuff you publish on your blog!
Next, discover new friends by going out there and checking out other bloggers’ amazing blogs! For example, you can start by clicking on my Awards and Thank Yous link. There you can find absolutely some of the coolest blogs. 🙂
Recently, I am also honored to be the recipient of several amazing awards. While I am thankful to receive those awards, I am also having fun answering questions from my nominators when I finally got time to do them. So, if you are a new blogger, here’s something you may want to consider. Under About Me page, if you haven’t written one already, you could put some interesting facts about yourself by answering the questions below.
Although I came up with those questions for my nominees for other blogging awards, please also feel free to have some fun by answering them when you are accepting this award. 🙂 I tried to make sure they are not too personal. Hope you enjoy them and have fun!
  • Which one of the 4 seasonings is your favorite? Salt, pepper, ketchup or mayo
  • If you win the grand prize for the lottery, what will you do with the money?
  • (Continued from the question above) Are you OK to be photographed on the newspaper with the prize you win? If not, what kind of crazy mask or costume will you wear?
  • Which movie genre is your favorite?
  • Which music genre do you enjoy the most?
  • If you can own any type of pet, what’s the craziest pet you can think of to own? (It can even be a dinosaur, if you like 🙂 )
  • Which character on Post a Book is most interesting to you? Why? 🙂
  • If you see a real hundred dollar bill stuck to a lamp post, what’s the first thing you will do?
  • You just won an award of your dream, who’s the first person you will thank in your acceptance speech?
  • If you can own a vacation home of your dream, where will it be? (It doesn’t have to be by the beach, for example)
  • If your house can be built out of any material, what kinds of material will you use? (Please don’t restrict it to gingerbread houses)
